Biography of Thomas Dubose McClure, Jr

Thomas D. McClure, Jr., “Tom,” was born on November 28, 1964 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and grew up in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. He graduated from North Carolina State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating from NCSU, he worked in both the textile and the coating industries in various roles as an engineer or manager. During his career in industry, he gained extensive experience in a variety of technologies. These technologies relate to design and implementation of process-control systems, various mechanical systems including web handling equipment, dye and coating chemistry, drying and washing processes, vacuum metallization, direct-slot-die coating, and gravure coating.
Tom graduated from the Emory University School of Law in 2003. For his third year, he attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law as a visiting student. Mr. McClure is a registered patent attorney and is admitted to practice law in North Carolina. His practice has always been focused on preparation and prosecution of patents and trademarks. He has been an associate in the intellectual property law firms of Kusner & Jaffe in Highland Heights, Ohio and Adams Intellectual Property Law in Charlotte, NC.
